Hello.

Is there a charger, which has MECHANICAL (no buttons), slider switch, which you can use for selecting target battery chemistry?
Interested in NiMH/LiFe mainly, LiIon not required, but won't hurt either.
I found such chargers in the hobby world, but they require at least 2 or 3 cells to be connected in series and to balance port. No plain charger with simple chemistry selection?

Yes, usual it is a button that has to be pressed (or held down) after powering the charger.
Check:

Using my charger index is a good way to answer that type of questions: http://lygte-info.dk/info/roundCellChargerIndex UK.html

How many people are really using LiFePO4 cells, do I need a index of chargers supporting them? (Please, do not answer in this thread, it is not about that, use a PM if you really believe I need a LiFePO4 index).

Unfortunately, you got me wrong.

I've mentioned SLIDER switch, it might be ROCKER switch, but the main idea is, selected chemistry will be still selected on next power on/off, so you do not have each time with new battery to select chemistry.

Where did I get you wrong? That is exactly what 3 of the linked chargers has, the fourth do not support 4.2V LiIon.

SkyRC MC3000 remembers last selection, i.e. that could also be used.

To further clarify, I meant something like Xtar MP2, but with ability to accept longer cells and have chemistry switch for each cell.
