So I finally rounded up some random P series bodies and KX9T head, and finally made it to the machine shop. I opened up the 9p to accept 18mm cells and removed some of the knurling on the 6p for a smooth finish. Next stop will be black HA III anodization to clean everything up. I'll post pictures of the progress as it comes.

Damn! I'm assuming you tried heating it up? Even the stubborn surefire goop loosens up with a bit of time from my propane torch.

Do you have a 4-jaw chuck head for your lathe? That will allow you to re-zero something to get clean cuts. Plus, I don't like cutting through anodizing, it smells weird...

There was heat, lots of Mapp gas torch action. I have opened many SF heads using heat but these M3LT-S heads have been a nightmare.

In the mean time everything came back. The 9p has been bored to accept 18mm cells and the
