Now when I have the beloved 5mm Yuji LEDs in all my A2s and coin battery lights I am starting to look beyond that. What I need are:

1. a 3-5-7x 5mm LED light, like older Peaks
2. a single LED mutltimode light, like Mako

I wonder if these lights are moddable and how I can tell if Yuji LED(s) are compatible with the drivers?

Hope that someone more knowledgeable could help me with these questions.

I don't know if there is an easy way to tell for certain, but in general, most lights equipped with 5mm LED's should be designed somewhere around 20 mA current, as are the Yuji's. The Yuji's are rated for a max of 30 mA, but seem to tolerate being overdriven.

However, they do have a lower than common forward voltage, and that can potentially lead to them drawing more current than the original LED. I've only swapped them into a handful of lights, but so far it hasn't turned out to be a problem for me.

I wish I had specific lights to suggest for those two requests, but I don't know of any to recommend. I mentioned a while back the Sunwayman R01A is a good single LED host, but it is single mode.
