2016 Toyota Avalon duel low beam projectors for each 9005 bulb??????

I'm in a long term rental: 2016 Toyota Avalon that uses (1) 9005 bulb for the duel low beam projectors and I guess it splits the light internally in the housing, and also uses a separate 9005 for the high beam....... The low beams are not good so I did the PHILIPS EXTREME VISION 9005 for the lows/highs, before taking to dealer for a free beam alignment, but the lows are still not good........I read that I should've done the 9011 mod for the high beams.......right?

Any better bulb for this duel-low beam projector setup....????

Is this a common design now using 1 bulb for 2 low beam projectors per side?

I've been doing some reading after posting my question above/thread......can I leagally modify/upgrade the 9005 low-beam bulb to a 9011 like the high-beam mod I've read about for high-beam 9005 retrofits using the Philips HIR 9011....?

Once again; This car uses separate 9005's for both low and high beams,
