Hi all,
I'm interested in creating a northern light effect for a winter carnival we have locally here in Winnipeg, Canada (-20C). The show will run in very cold weather more than likely. I'm asking for brainstorming suggestions. So far I've thought about using Galvo Lasers, 100 Watt LED custom pot lamps to cast a blue green light into the air. I would like it to be visable from all parts of the city if possible. I've also considered using high wattage Xenon or Mercury searchlights. Does anyone have any other suggestions. I'm eager to hear about them. I've studied the work of Dan Acher's "Borealis" and Daan Roosegaard's "Waterlicht" if that helps.

Late answer... Some smoke machines and lasers will give you something like this.
Looks ok on pictures? but form what I heard, in real life it looked more like toxic fumes from a chemical fire :green:
