Hope I am posting this in the correct subforum.

I need a new 4x18650 battery pack for my solarstorm X2 light. It is on the bike, so needs to be reaonably waterproof.

There are a lot of battery packs on ebay aliexpress etc. of unknown origin and quality. I checked with mtbbatteries co uk. Unfortunately they do not ship to my country. Other good sources for ready made battery packs with solarstorm connector?

An alternative way is to use a case like this

and put 4 high quality cells (from a known good source).

Question. Does anyone have experience with these cases? Is this a viable option or are these cases junk? There are a lot of vendors selling these, are they all the same quality?

If it is just for the battery pack and you are not counting on it to dissipate any heat, perhaps a case from either pelican or underwater kinetics will work. I like the UK cases a bit more but it is a matter of availability and personal preference.

Do you need it to fit at least 4, or exactly 4?

If you can live with a case fitting 6, then the Solarforce V2 battery case might be an interesting and reasonably priced option.
