Are there any infrared flashlights out there, except Fenix TK25IR ?

$300 for 0.1W output?! So I guess the Fenix wins with 3W output at $100.
What devices can be used to see infrared, in the consumer price range?
I read that cheap digital cameras can do it if you remove the IR filter

Fasttech has a P60 drop-in for $7.51 with 5 positive reviews (5*).

Deal Extreme also has a P60 drop-in for less than $10 that has 22 reviews (also 5*)

Good luck

Thank you, that's what I thought.

There are quite a few other UV-related threads, so let's stick to discussing only IR here ... :)

Any Canon or Nikon can have the sensor replaced for one that allows shooting visible light as well as infrared what you have to be carefull with is your glass, many lenses cant capture infrared properly , you can also take "regular" pictures and run them thru photoshop to make infrared visible by chenging your settings on white balance and a few other things.

In many cheap digital cameras just play with tv remote well snapping away if you see it lightup your camera sees infrared I have a Sony that natively sees it , whereas my DSLR' S had to converted.

EagTac & SporTac has several models using the Osram 3.4w 850nm IR LED
(highest output IR LED AFAIK).
the IR output blows away any "3"-"5"w eBay/FT/DX lights.

Distance to horses is 225 yards, tree line is 1/4 mile.
(and note the light was pointed down to ground).

How do the EagTac & SporTac compare to the IR drop-in from Customlites.com? I think they're using the same LED.
