I haven't bought a flashlight in over a year I am a fan of NW lights and single 18650 lights like the pd35, tn12, p12 etc. Would like to be in the $100 range and was wondering what you all would recommend. Mainly NW but if you really like a CW light worth mentioning let me know. Looking at light like the m2r, ec23, eagletac t25lr, tm03. Let me know and thanks.

New crop of ZL might be worth a look, a lot of warmer tint options and a few high CRI included. They got me to pre order a couple!

Recommended for what usage?

Also I'll back the suggestion to check it ZL (Zebralight). I pre-ordered a couple as well, and I'm tempted by more.

Smaller sizes for edc other sizes just to have, like being able to light up the areas

+1 for Emisar D4, mine's in 219 5000K 90CRI flavour, I would have probably been happy with most of the other NW options, though.

Liked the UI so much I ordered a D1S and am contemplating ordering a D1.

Biggest downside is the potential for pocket activation; I carry mine physically locked out at all times, which becomes tedious if you're using the light often. A D1 would worry me less and I wouln't bother with lock-out.

+2 for Emisar, D4 and also the D1($40 ish). Defo zebralight are worth a look as well, super compact and flexible UI.

What color tint are you all liking in the emisar d4?

What time of day brawler? Day time for me i am enjoying the 5000k 219c, this is in work though and artificially lit(warmer beams just dont go as well). Evening when my eyes are use to warm ambient lighting, my preference is 4000k xp-g2(can live easily with 5000k, just not my 1st choice).

The brightest and furthest throwing is the xpl HI 6500k, however personally for a little loss the 5000k would be my choice. The 219c gets hot the fastest(bare in mind we are measuring in seconds, not minutes). So with the 219c, i dont care that i get 20s of 3800lm as 30s of xpl HI 6500k is not worth it because i prefer the nichia 219c 5000k.........simple as that for me. Which ever the choice, its going to get hot fast, so i think which colour temp my eyes prefer on lower modes. The latest 219c addition is 90 cri, so a little bonus there if you like your colour rendition. All subjective on temp, so i would simply pick the closest to what you enjoy for the given application. Be that a little on the warm side(4000k), cool side of neutral(5000k) or cool (6500k):)
