Whats up everyone

First time build posting up some varied results.

Backstory:
I've always liked bright flashlights and was always looking for the highest lumen I could get my hands on. After the hardware store lights had burned a hole in my pocket I moved from them to China garbage tier lights. They were fun but not bright enough. I got the idea to make a light and found all of you already doing it. I'll be sending my letters over for plagiarism claims shortly after this message. So this is my first build. Looking for pointers critiques or criticism.

Build:
Convoy m2
17mm fet driver
Xhp70 on a copper star with spring bypass.

The light performed great for a couple minutes before it went completely dim. Drivers programmed for high and strobe only so I'm not sure why that's happening. Any helps appreciated. I loved building it enough that I am probably doing a jaxman triple next as a pocket light. I'm not a huge fan of 18350 batteries because they have such low amp rating but I'm stuck with it as of now because the m2 extension tube I ordered has the wrong thread, I ordered incorrectly no fault to anyone else.

Questions to you are:
Why is it dim now, did I break something? (Trustfire 700mah protected 18350 as of now and rest unprotected on the mail)
Is it really just as easy as soldering positive and negative to the led board and heatsinking the back or did I miss something causing it to be dim40mm
What should I do next build to make it better/brighter?

There are others on here more qualified than I to help you w/ your XHP70 torch problem.

I do have a great and proven 18350 for you.

Here is the BEST 18350 out there. Both in capacity. Tested by myself and many others ~ 1100+ mAh and gives you 10A !

A place to get it:

an XPH70 is basically four LEDs on one die, so you are feeding four emitters with a single 18350. I'm surprised you can go two minutes before voltage sag.

The xhp 70 is either a 6v or 12v emitter. Does your FET driver have a boost circuit to boost voltage to either 6v or 12v using a single cell? A FET driver used for 6 volts normally has a Zener mod to allow the use of 2 cells(8.4v) in series without frying the driver
