Nice catalog, thanks! That's Interesting, it seems that the HM series will include high-performance, rugged, simple headlamps and that the HL55, HL23, or HL60R will be rebranded as HM headlamps when they will be updated!
That would indeed make a great series of headlamps for outdoor use in demanding environments! Hopefully will see some new HM headlamps soon!

Message from Fenix:

Thanks for the customer comment and the feedback!

We will keep these three series in the headlamp series according to the specific demands and various environments. From the newest Fenix catalog, we can know that:

HL--lightweight outdoor headlamps with weight-to-output ratios for outdoor hiking, jogging, climbing, camping…
HM—high-performance integrated headlamp with multi purposes for extreme sports and rigid outdoor environments.
HP—high performance separated headlamp with outstanding performance for searching and rescuing, caving, cycling, mountaineering and hiking…

Yes, we will release more and more high-performance and reliable headlamps in the near future! Let's wait and see!

New England woods.
I noticed the picture for the HP series show a person using the fantastic but discontinued HP12. That was (and is) a very nice headlamp. Thick robust build with duel springs in the tube. I hope Fenix does an update someday.
