Hi, folks! :)

I would like to offer you some of my latest Quad P60 drop-ins with additional red center LEDs. They have been steadily improved over the last couple batches and reached a level of quality and versatility, I'm slightly proud of. :p

From the circuits over the PCBs to the diamond adhesive - 100% custom and handmade.

The modified Osram Oslon SSL/Cree XP-E2 in "deep red" (645-655nm) is mounted at the center of the quad optic and produces a nice floody beam, which is perfect for reading at night or close distance navigation without loosing the night adoption of your eyes.

Some facts:

  • LEDs (perfectly centered and soldered under slight pressure) onto copper PCBs, glued down using:
  • own made thermal adhesive based on monocrystalline diamond (highest possibe heat conductivity)
  • soldered with best Mundorf Silver/Gold solder (contains gold and silver)
  • Copper contact springs (silver coated BeCu P60 springs are separately available)
  • low-voltage (ramp down + switch-off at 3V), overheat and reverse polarity protection
  • shock proof due to diamond thermal adhesive potted electronic
  • additional deep red center flood LED (e.g. for reading maps at night without losing the night adoption of your eyes)
  • blue Strontiumaluminate from Glow INC. under the pins of the optic
  • made of one solid piece of aluminium
  • for one cell (3.7V) only
  • multi mode group interface with the following functions:

EDC
(Every Day Carry): Moon - Low - Medium - High
(starts always on "moon" if the light was off for more than 0,7 seconds and mutes the moon mode if you circle through the modes.)

Regular Mode Memory: Low - Medium - High

(saves the last used mode if the light was off for more than 0,7 seconds.)

Police / Law Enforcement: High
- Medium - Low
(starts always on high if the light was off for more than 0,5 seconds)

Tactical: High
- Hidden Strobe
(the strobe can be activated with a fast double click und uses a mode memory. So you can directly start with strobe, if needed. A short interrupt within 0.5 seconds brings you back to the high mode)

There are four main groups, which can be activated by 7, 8, 9 and 10 fast clicks. The red light mode is accessible from every mode-group with 4 fast clicks and uses a mode memory. A red stand-by blink mode can be activated with 5 fast clicks and a voltage monitoring feature with 6 fast clicks.

The high mode is limited to 5 amps on this built.

Stunning work and I'll be sure to be in for one soon. Can you explain the difference in use of the Oslon versus Cree?

Wow, these are some fantastic looking dropins! Any estimated lumen or lux values for each mode?

Thanks

At last! I was waiting these Vinz marvels to reappear for a looong time.

I take #2. PayPal payment is right away.

P.S.: May you ship it with a Convoy S4 from a parallel thread? :)

Is there an advantage that a quad has that a triple doesn't? Are they brighter or floodier in nature? I'm quite tempted to pick one of these up!

At the same amp a quad will be slightly brighter due to better effiency of the led. But it's also nicer too look as it take all the surface of the opening of the host.
