My guess:

5000 lumens, 900k lux.

What would this do in a GT? 5000 lumens and near 2m lux. >)

Cree and Osram design their LEDs for home and commercial lighting. This LED? It was designed for searchlights among other things.

I dont think lux will be that high...May be 600K and 5000 Lumen...

Isn't the die size of the cft90 the same as an xhp35 hi? The tn42 gets 600k off an xhp35hi outputting only 2000 lumen.

LED is $135!!! Not good not good at all. If one of the LED failed I am dead meat!

This is basically a TN42vnM but with 5.5 times the lumen!!!

Like I said this is gonna be the ideal LED for the BLF gt. If driven hard enough we're thinking 5000 lumen 2m cd. Plus the BLF GT has the 8x 18650s to handle the runtime of the monstrous power draw and the surface area to shake off the heat.

Do I get free TN42vn90 for guessing the exact lux?

2 MCD? nahhhhhh

Double the lumen wont get double Mcd

Even if we can drive it to 5000 Lumen I dont think we will pass 1.2-1.5Mcd....

I'm talking about the BFL GT, which is way larger than the TN42. It gets 1.3-1.5m cd already using just an XHP35 HI. It should easily get 2m cd with the CFT90.

I will have to consider the release of this light...The thought of a LED repair, beam re-tune and the $$$ involved is scary....
