Somewhat cynical humor: Cheap rechargeable cells vs. bank accounts

I had a random thought while in the shower this morning. My bank account is a bit like a cheap rechargeable cell:

1. Low capacity which seems to deteriorate with age
2. High self discharge
3. Damage if over-discharged (fees)
4. Even more damaged if reverse charged (overdraft fees)
5. Takes forever to charge.
6. Discharges in no time at all.

7. It can only be used once or twice before it has to be recharged for 2 weeks.

Difficult to calculate actual usable capacity (especially if you have auto-pay set up)

If OP's assertions are to be accepted, my experience is the issue is rarely with the cells, but with their abuse. I submit, perhaps risking sounding heartless (but I am not without compassion or empathy), the issue is with the flashlight.

... the issue is with the flashlight.
Too many high current draw flashlights (bills), too slow a charger (income), charging inefficiency and parasitic drain (taxes)... it's the American way.
