Hi, :)

I'm modifying several Chauvet pinspot lights to go from 3W white to 10W red, green, and blue (separate lamps, not one rgb lamp). This is for an arts installation and I want to use this model of light because of its particular lens optics. (cheap too!)

The lamp currently has a 3W Cree ZL LED chip.

In each lamp I'd like to put in a 10W R G or B chip. I'll also put in a fan.

1 - Any suggestions on what LED chips to use, and where to source them? I understand Cree only come in white.

2 - Any suggestions on suitable power supplies (and where to source?)?

3 - The lamps will be rigged in pairs. I could mount the power supplies externally (this would help with heat disspation), and then run the lamps in pairs so one power supply could run two 10W LEDs - so any tips on an external 20W power supply?

4 - Any thoughts on the heatsink?

Many thanks!

thats an old cree xr series.
xp-g,g2,g3 in desired color on a 20mm star should do fine.
xm-l might work but the focus might not be tight enough(bigger die)
