I think I'll try one since I want a good 2x18650 light. The Nitecore EC4SW was close, but a failure due to the parasitic drain...I just never use it since I have to fuss with unscrewing the cap every time. Or have a 70% charged battery when it should be near 100%. Anyway...momentary on and 4700K? SOLD!

Can you buy the 2x18650 battery holder with charging separately? That could be a nifty on the go charger for the spare set.

I like the presentation of the runtime graph.
The ANSI method for max lumens is useless.
I want to know how many lumens it will still be putting out after various lengths of time - 10 minutes, an hour, are good benchmarks.
So this light seems to be about 800 lumens for the first 3 hours. That's a useful metric.

From Fenix:

Intelligent Protection
The light will accumulate a lot of heat when it is working at Turbo mode. When the light is overheated up to 65 or above, the flashlight will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature; when the temperature is lower than 65 , the output will gradually return to Turbo output level.

The outputs will be affected by the temperature but not the specific level or time.

The specs of this flashlight compare very well with the TK47 of last year. A comparative test between the two would sure be quite interesting! Any reviewer up for such a test?

Please email [email protected] to see if they have this part in stock yet. Be sure to tell them exactly which Fenix light model you are asking about. Thanks!
