Re: price drop: SureFire EDCL1-T body, like new

Is it fully compatible with e1e incand head/tail?

The EDCL1-T is compatible with Surefire E heads. The tailcap is threaded the same but is longer than a standard E1 style tailcap. The only tailcap that will work with this light are the longer ones like the one that came with it or the EDCL2-T or the older EB1 or EB2 tailcaps.

The original edcl1-t tail cap is not a mere clicky or rotary, it is a two level thing, similar to that of an l1/l2/a2, right? I am wondering how it would work with an incand bulb or, say, a direct drive LE?

Depends. You would get a low with an Incan but it would not be very efficient. It would be a very Brown/yellow color temp draw more current than you'd like probably and the bulb is t designed for it. A direct drive LED would probably work just fine I think.

@paulrobi01 if you happen to have an incand bezel/bulb, could you check how this tail cap would operate?
