Re: Sofirn C8Fvn - Compact Power House

Isn't Sofirn releasing a 21700 version of their C8? That would be more enticing.

Everything is enticing to someone ;-) especially when everyone has boat loads of timeless 18650.

This is great.. I don't think 21700 will improve much in vn lights.. I like 18650... they are cheap and widely available..

Their lower voltage sag and higher capacity is always a plus for highly driven lights.

I concur with that.
21700 makes light larger and heavier. But in case of C8F - not much. And it seems like a worthy upgrade.

Really? Why is that? Did you try sd sst40 Or xpl hi and did not like the results? I was waiting and maybe wanting to purchase this with those emitters. A 3500 lumen 70kcd sounds interesting enough.
Triple oslon numbers are 1900 lumens and 140kcd....I think that's very similar to a xpl hi or sd sst40 on a regular single emitter c8.

Looks like a nice light, do you have a estimate for how long it can run at 1900lm before it's too hot?

I'm keeping my eye on this one!
Wonder what different LED's specs are. Probably more lumens, less lux.
With Oslon, the lumen/lux specs are equal to the larger L30vn. Would love to see side by side beamshots to compare hot spot size!

Is this with stock driver?
if so, can vnx driver be an option to get closer to 3500 lumens?2500 lumens sounds more like dedomed xpg2 numbers
