My AW 17670s finally bit the dust and no longer charge or discharge. I need 17670s to power a Surefire C3+ extender 4 cell setup. I refuse to use Ultrafire and cant find any Eagletac or Aw cells online. I dont want to purchase a new light and 18650s, but might have to get a Solarforce or something to run 2x18650 and the D26 dropin.
Thoughts on a place to get 17670 replacements?

+1 to using 16650 cells.
Have you considered having your C3 and extender bored for 18mm cells?
Probably would cost than the Solarforce, but you do get to use your C3.

Another vote for 16650 cells, i probably bought more of these and use these as much as actual 18650 cells day to day. 2500mah(or near as damn it) is not to be sniffed at. It makes using old surefire lights a dream! As said the KP have PCB or go naked with the pink sanyo(what is under the KP wrapper).

OM, a longshot here I know, but if your C3 is an earlier 'three flats' version and Black, I would be interested in trading mine - which has been bored for 18mm cells. No replies in-thread please, but feel free to send me a PM if you'd like.
Best regards,

Pm sent to kestrel.
Thank you all for the info on the 16650, I'd never heard of such a cell. Sounds like the new solution for a definite lack of 17670s being made anymore. I'll most likely buy a set of these.

Yes, more compact plus more capacity is a nice combo.

Nice, too, to see another classic hopefully saved from boring ... :)

I bought 17670 from this forum hmmm... 8 or 10 years ago. The ones with black wrapper. They still work after all these years but yes harder to find. I blame Surefire [emoji41] for the 17670 disappearing. They started making the tubes diameter 16mm and change. Unfortunately the newer E series no longer takes 17670. No way I can fit a 17670 in Surefire these days. Problem is even some 16650 don't fit in some Surefire models recently.
