Anyone else here about the new X80 GT? That's 32000 lumens from a soda can light! Its the same output as Imalents DX80. Submersible 30 meters too! 18 CREE XHP 50.2 LEDs.
More Details on Acebeams Website

Would also appreciate continued suggestions for updates on my list of World's Brightest Flashlights. I want to keep it up to date as a resource for folks. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for the heads up. Super flood to size ratio is in my area of interest. Also, this flashlight may possibly accept the X65 5 x 18650 for longer runtime.

What is 5 x 18650?

The X65 is 6800mAh (8x 3400mAh in 4S2P).

But the battery pack is marked 6400mAh to comply with Chinese customs which states power equipment cannot exceed 100W.

14.4V x 6.4Ah = 92W

I heard about it. That's insane lumens for a light so small. Unfortunately the runtime on turbo max is only one minute. I'm saving my pennies for the release of the x70

I like that its even brighter now.

But I don't like the fact that they've removed the extremely useful (to me at least) colored LEDs in order to get these increased brightness numbers.

I like my X80 so much, I sure I'll get the X80-GT in the near future, maybe on a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale. I like the small soda can size and very high output, even though it only lasts for one minute on Turbo. Really like the soda can size and form factor.

The X80-GT starts stepping down gradually after 30 seconds, it's at the 4000 lumen mode by 1 minute. @turn on I measure it close to 29,000 lumens and the DX80 close to 30,000.
Incidentally the X80-GT reads over 2,000 lumens higher than the DX80 on my Texas_Ace integrating tube so I'll be very interested in the results of the X80-GT fed into a sphere.

My tests approx

X80 23,000
X80-GT 29,000
DX80 30,000

TA Tube

X80 15,800
DX80 20,000
X80-GT 22,300

Visually, did you notice the bump in lumens from the X80 to to the X80GT? 6,000 lms doesn't seem like much when in that range.

I hardly notice the bump after the batteries get under 3.9 volts, from 16 k lumens to the 32k, meaning it is probably already stepping down with real-world intermittent use. So if you already have the x80 or you want the uv and colors, I can't recommend the x80gt as a neccessary option. I use the 16k often, but I rarely use the max.

Thought that may be the case, thank you. Really like the colors and uv of the X80. I noticed Acebeam also has an X80 with 12 red leds. Not sure why anyone would need so much red unless they are filming a horror movie!

Red might be good for hunters in forests etc, as red preserves night vision.

Acebeam is using 630nm red. From what I read 650nm and greater is supposed to preserve night vision but all debatable really.
