So... I've recommended Fenix bike lights to people who need a good headlight for some time. The BC21R and BC30 are awesome, being real bike lights with hard cutoffs and a well-suited beam pattern while also being neutral white, having a standard-size removable battery and no stepdowns.

Now we have the BC25R with a non-removable battery and timed stepdowns. This is a significant downgrade from the BC21R. What is Fenix thinking?

Any chance this mount is backwards compatible with my BC21? I love everything about my 21 except the flimsy mount. This looks like a big improvement.

just tried this. It's not a perfect fit, but the BC21 will slide in from the back and lock into place. It's not quite the smooth operation as it is with the BC25R that it was meant for, but as long as you take a little care to make sure the lever from the BC21 clicks into the indentation for the spring on the mount, it's solid. And definitely a big improvement over the stock BC21 mount.

Thanks for the update. The only flaw with BC21 for my uses is that the mount shifts when I hit bumps. If I can acquire one of these mounts it will be fantastic.
