A woman suffered nasty burns when a dodgy charger exploded in her hands and melted onto her skin.
Jackie Hudspith, 55, was left screaming when the portable charger burst into flames as she held it, setting her bed on fire, and spilling molten plastic onto her hands.
The 55-year-old threw a glass of orange juice over the flames before desperately dabbing out the fire with her hand and throwing the flaming battery into her garden.

Most generic powerbanks leave much to be desired in terms of safety, so you should be wary of leaving them charging unattended.

Haha, "mum"

Yeah, I won't be saving $5-10 to buy a cheapo battery pack. Stick with the few higher quality brands to play it safe. Do a search on Amazon and you'll get about 100 weird random brands.
