Several years back, I owned a case of 'rough service' 120v screw-in light bulbs. They had a halogen inner bulb, high pressure type. It was all enclosed in a THICK outer glass bulb. When I say thick, I mean like 1/4" thick. You could use this thing as a hammer.

It was about the size of a normal bulb, but was not exactly round. The top was flat and the sides were sort of angular.

Think they were an oddball wattage. Close to 60w, but not exactly... maybe like 42w or 52w?

Anyone seen these?

Got a link to them?

Your shape description reminds me of Osram Sylvania Capsylite, though I don't recall ever purchasing a rough service version, and I haven't seen any in stores for years. The popular search engine brought up a part Sylvania 42MB/CAP 130V, but I am not familiar with the seller.
