Need help saving Mag 111

I only made two hotwires and the Mag 111 (if I'm remembering the name correctly) was my favorite. I sold off my Surefire M6 after building it and never missed it. However, my AW 25500 (or 26500?) cells aren't taking a charge and the only source of button top ones are on Alibaba. My choices with that store are to pay $47 for shipping me 2 or 4 cells or to buy 1000 !!!

So here are my questions:

Is there some easy and logical conversion to make this hotwire into something else? If you're not familiar it's a 2 C cell Mag with an 11 mm extension collar and a 111 lamp.

If there is an alternative battery and collar solution, are the 111 lamps even still available?

If the 111 is no longer available, is there a different lamp that works?

Thanks in advance.

I found several different types of bulbs searching for "111 bulb". There must be some prefix or suffix that you are missing. What does yours look like?

I doubt you had 26500 or 25500 cells. I'm not aware they have ever been available, and you wouldn't have needed the extension. Much more likely you had 26650s. I didn't see button tops when I bought mine, so I made some buttons.

You could also use 18650s with an adapter (piece of plastic pipe). They are available with button tops.

It's called M*g11 which has bulb of WA01111-U (6V, 20W) and powered by pair of protected "C" size Li-ion or 25500
Since protection unit adds up about 3mm to each cell, you may call it 25530 which has diameter of 25mm and length of 53mm
Both of them WA01111-U and 25530 are discontinued, but you can use pair of IMR 18650 in 2C M*g with deep tail cap and Philips 5761 (6V, 30W) or M*g61
This is brighter than WA1111 with shorter run time.

I'm in the same boat, Wattnot, and worse. Two of my three best mods are based on the AW IMR26500. They're still holding up due to a pampered life, but are now 10 years old, and when they start to go I'm hosed. Still trying to dream up a workable solution as the lights can't be changed to some other format.

I doubt you had 26500 or 25500 cells. I'm not aware they have ever been available, and you wouldn't have needed the extension.
They were made available by AW for a short time, and were awesome. Then there was a very brief and strange story of the molds being stolen (not sure what to believe there), and that was the end. We were left hanging. No 26500 has performed as well since. A total shame.
