Hey guys,

What do you think?

I just recently had a MN02 blow out on me so I thought I'd try something. Saw that 5mm LED appeared to be close in size. After spending about 15 min sanding down the 'lip' on the LED, I did my best to solder up the leads and voila!

It can only run on CR123 as there is no driver on this one.

It's good 2 to 3 floody lumens perhaps.

Suppose I can play with the LED focusing.

Great for a bedside e-series!

Okay, that's a great idea. I had purchased a few recently, but without any ideas for what to do with it. I'll see about making this happen on an E-series lego I have sitting on the shelf

bla2000, yes it should be. 5mm LED's are all very similar in external dimensions, and the legs have the same spacing. It might require some sanding like euroken's mod, but otherwise, that should be a good choice.
