I am replacing an old ceiling fixture that is essentially a T3 halogen floodlight reflecting off a white ceiling. These were popular some years ago here in Israel but I can't find any pictures online, so I guess it was a local fad.

In any event I'm trying to figure out the correct brightness for a direct lighting LED fixture to provide a similar amount of light. The old fixture had a 300 Watt T3 halogen bulb suspended some 25 cm below the ceiling, and all the light is reflected off the ceiling (white). There is no direct lighting from the bulb as the bottom of the fixture is sheet metal.

I there any way to estimate the required replacement LED direct lighting in lumens?

Thanks.
