Hi all,

Up for sale is a Black 2D maglite modified with XHP-70.2 and FET +1 dual channel driver. The emitter sits on a 32mm maxtoch DTP copper MCPCB which in turn is adhered to a copper wrapped aluminum heatsink with arctic alumina. The reflector is a smooth rebel unit and the lens is the UCL unit from flashlightlens.com. The driver is flashed with star dual channel firmware featuring low-med-high-turbo modes, off time memory, a 60 second turbo timer, and low voltage protection. Battery positive is routed past the switch directly to the emitter to reduce resistance and prolong switch life. This maglite draws around 16 amps off a pair of liitokala 26650 cells (not included) for an estimated 8000 lumens out the front. The beam is fairly throwy with minor artifacts only visible on a white wall.

Just saw your post, I can see the pics on several other devices so I'm not sure what to tell you. If you're interested I can send you the pics via e-mail. Just PM me.

^^ Are the cells included at asking price?
* Plus, will stacked button top (30a) unprotected cells fit and function okay?

Cells are not included. I would think any unprotected button tops should work fine. Shockli button tops do for sure.

Hey guys. I'm having trouble finding unprotected button top cells. Anyone have a link for me?
Seems most unprotected cells are flat top and I'm not sure if they'll work for this light.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks that's who kyfishguy recommended also.
Never heard of that store... guess I'm not the flashaholic I thought I was lol.
And yes I'm excited to get my first modded light.
I do have two malkoff dropins for mag light that serve as night stand lights for wife and I
I Mostly have various 18650 lights including the now outdated tm-26.
I'm excited for my first 26650 light.

Question...
How do they fit in the maglite battery tube?
I'm thinking they will be loose?
What's best for spacer or has that been taken care of?

Thanks kyfishguy!
Just received the sleeper Mag
Very nicely built, good clean solder and lint/smudge free lense and reflector.
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas now for the batterys to come in.
Can't wait!

Got the batterys today

Wow!
I'm amazed!
Very impressed!
Turbo is ridiculously bright!
I wasn't expecting the light to be as practical as it is.
Low (my guess probably about 10 lumen) is perfect for walking around the house at night/checking on kids etc. and nice surprise is no noticeable pwm even from the low mode. I'm pretty sensitive to pwm (flickers) and become annoyed easily especially around fast moving items-hands,running water, fans, etc. this one is not even noticeable to me.. so happy!
The medium is very practical usable output @300 lumen
Then high is again, just a guess around 2000 L
Next is the 90 second timer controlled turbo
Brian estimates it at 8000 lumen [emoji15]
It's just INSANE!
My wife had late Dr apt. Tonight and I asked her if she would be a champ and let me shine the light on her as she pulled up to property gate (about 50 yards away)
She said "ok"
Man I Love her [emoji7]
I "almost" felt bad when I blasted her with turbo... all I could see was hands going up to protect her eyes and daughter in back got hit too.
I only hit them for a few seconds and they were both laughing at how bright it was.

I've got 3800 lumen nitecore TM-26 and I compared the two and showed my wife
She laughed when I hit the on button on my sleeper mag
She said "was your other light (Tm-26) on the highest setting? I said yes. She laughed again and said "how much did your old light cost?"
I said "around $300"
She said "SELL IT!"
;)
I'm so happy with this light!

Hey Foothill, I'm glad you like the maglite. It's really amazing what happens when you fully drive that XHP-70.2 and the mag rebel reflector makes for a great beam. Thanks for buying!

Brian

PS thought for sure I'd marked it as sold, done now.
