I see in the past most ran there EO-4 or HO-4 on a 17670. Now the 16650 has much more capacity so that's what I'm thinking of running in my E2E. Anyone have any opinions on this set up? I'm looking to duplicate my P60 on 2 primary batteries. Thanks

The 16650's I have can be charged to 4.35v. I would be sure to only use a charger that goes to 4.2v, no sense shortening bulb life or poofing one unintentionally. You lose a bit of that stated capacity, but they're good cells.

I personally have never tried it, but as you said, others have and seem to like it. If you are not that brave, Lumens Factory has a couple of Incan drop ins for the E1 and E2 series of lights that can be run with RCR123/16350 cells.
