I am looking for options on my 1996 Ford F-250. I have spoken to Daniel stern and he presented OEM lenses, harness, and Phillips extreme vision bulbs. As a stop gap, and because I have other vehicles running 9007 lamps, I purchased the bulbs(thru his link) and a cheap harness due to time constraints and not wanting to alter a harness if I departed from 9007 or used reputable LED's sealed beam form factor.
I can appreciate the OEM lenses, but by the time I spend 240.00 on these, what lighting level am I going to have? Would I have a better/safer light if I was to properly mount a universal bucket for a 200mm rectangular lamp? What about fabricating proper mounts for the hella 90mm halogen modules to replace the factory headlamps?
Thank you for this incredibly professional community focused on proper lighting. Most of the rest of the Internet is full of hid/led retro BS. I am very sensitive to headlight glare and do not want to create any.
