what is "TURBO" mode. Is it a mode that will supply max current to the LED (LED max current)?
I see that term a lot on the 3 up led flashlights. That must drain the batteries fast and get hot quickly. I also wonder if it draws more current than the max current draw of the batteries running it. Am I understanding this correctly?

It's basically a high mode (maybe the maximum that the emitter can sfaely put out) that the light can sustain for only a short time before it causes damage by overheating. Also, it will obviously drain your cells faster.

When it isn't a turbine-driven forced induction device coupled to an internal combustion engine, it is a marketing department fabrication.
