Hello,
I'm an ex user of a mini maglite (incandescent upgraded to LED, which died a few days ago) and an ex user of a Surefire G2 (not the X version) which was lost.
Can someone recommend me a AA (or 2AA) flashlight that has;
- two modes at least (high output and low (below 100 lumens for low preferably))
- Budget is 100 (Canadian..)
- Handheld
- Between 4-7 inches (not looking for anything smaller, some "heft" is preferred)
- LED
- Not interested in assembling my own (as I have no experience with that)
- Max lumens (preferably anything above 300)
- I am unsure of the flood/throw
- Distance = flexible (would like to use from up to 5 - 100 yards if possible)
- Durability = Critical
- Switch Size and Type = No Preference
- UI = Don't know
- Material / Finishing = No preference
- IPX7 and above
- Storage conditions = varied
I have been looking at the following as candidates but I am undecided:
- Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 (It's too "small", I would prefer something bigger / heftier)
- Nitecore EA11 (Discontinued (or Sold Out?) on Nitecore's website) - Is there another Nitecore AA flashlight taking its place?
--
(I've also considered Nitecore's P30 flashgliht as I simply like the "look" of it, but unfortunately it is not AA)
Ps. The Malkoff AA light doesn't seem like it's powerful enough according to the specs on the website (and they are a little pricey for me, even tho they are "bomb proof")
Thank you for your time
