Fenix WF05E Intrinsically Safe Flashlight



The much-requested intrinsically safe light is now available from Fenix. The WF05E is intended for all areas at risk of explosion, excluding underground mines. It has passed the necessary tests and was certified by IECEx, ATEX and CSA. Thus, this product can be safely used in Zone 1 and Zone 2 and in combustible dust areas Zone 21 and Zone 22 as well, such as petroleum, chemical and textile industries, fire controlling, metallurgical areas, electric power stations and areas, and paper producing plants, etc. See features below:


  • Intrinsically safe flashlight for use in hazardous areas.

  • Cree XP-G2 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

  • Powered by two AAA alkaline batteries as shown in the battery list below.

  • Three output levels, max 85 lumens.

  • Made of durable high-strength and oxidation-resistance aluminum.

  • Premium type HAIII hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish.

  • Physical reverse polarity protection, to protect from the improper battery insertion.

  • Weight: 1.34 oz / 38 g (excluding batteries).

  • 5.29'' Length x 0.75'' Head diameter x 0.59'' Body diameter/ 134.5 x 19 x 14.9 mm.

Why AAA over AA? I would have thought AA was the perfect cell size for this application.
