I have a pair of 9 year old 18650 GA’s in that flashlight. The tailcap is unscrewed to keep the circuit open. Light engine I think is a nailbender as well; the only drop in that we have accepting higher voltage.
Corded tools work for me, given that we have a large battery bank at our house and AC power on our Tacoma during fire season.
This will be our second foray into battery powered after the battery powered Stihl chainsaw and string trimmer that has served us so admirably for years.
Agree with all above, but our go-to flashlights will have 80-90% except if I make a mistake charging, then no big deal if 100%. I just use that flashlight as soon as practical. Being an avid flashlight person, we have plenty of flashlights around for emergencies so that keeping stuff around at...

Solid copper module nailbender triple Nichia. I asked him to make it single speed and get warm but not hot under sustained use. An 18650 would last something like 45 minutes constant on before dimming noticeably. Lovely light cast.
