FYI for those not liking Facebook it's a private group and whatever you post does not show up on your feed hence it being a private group. Food for thought.

Facebook is just another outlet for Vinh, but we are still here on CPF. Closed groups on FB are similar to a forum.
I looked back at my own review notes (I will also not link over to it but it's easy enough to find)... On turn on, i also saw 3100 lumens (and with HG2).
Turn on numbers mean little to me personally though because it takes a few seconds for eyes to adjust. If not to brightness, just to focusing off in the distance. Maybe it's just 5 seconds (rather than ansi 30), but by the time eyes adjust, the light is aimed properly, the target is identified, etc... if the light has lost 10% of its output, that 10% was essentially pointless to ever have really.
Maybe I'm rambling, but hopefully that makes sense.

Facebook closed groups or secrete groups are actually really good. I am apart of many many groups and they are awesome and its easy to use. plus you get the speed of facebook which in my experience is nothing short of lightning fast. No one but you will ever know your apart of a group thats closed or secrete. secrete groups are so secrete that if you search the group it will not come up. some of you need to give new things a try before just saying NO id never go to fb. You might just find it quite appealing.
Not ruled it fully out alex, had a chat with vinh and I might give it ago. If it's private then it's more favourable, just can't be bothered with the ins n outs of a cats ar5e type media. As long as its away from all that then I can not see a problem.

I was trying to figure out how all this Facebook talk started then I finally visited skylumen website. Ok. I have a Facebook account but only occasionally check in, not addicted by any means and not against it. I agree with alex, I have a few private groups and it's not public for the world to see, not sure what other reasons folks are against it.
In any case, just joined the group, so I'll post my inappropriate adult content there and still chime in here as well!

Ven, I just spent at least 30 or 40 seconds trying to figure out why cat 5e would be significant, assuming it was an auto correct fail. (Category 5e being a common ethernet cable type).
And then I realized it was as you intended. Hahaha.
But the private group is what sold me. It maintains some semblance of anonymity from the whole world and random comments and reshares from someone's mother's friend who she hasn't talked to in 5 years but feels a need to comment on everything... kind of thing.

very clean looking readout, BACKLIGHT unlike most others, usb hookup, aa batteries, powered external if needed
10 YEAR WARRANTY !
looks like a good one for 40 bucks
it just came out a few months ago
company here in the usa, lifetime support
sounds too good to be true
Ill report back when i try it out
my 2nd 1330b dr meter died few days ago
not alot of faith in them anymore

I am going to try keeping up with both and decide later which will win out. CPF has so many different threads on different topics that I cannot imagine staying away completely.
Which will win out? Who said you guys can't have fun here? Certainly not the Mods. Just don't cuss or post naked comic book women, like always. No rules have been changed or added. Vinh's post was simply a reminder that the same rules apply to individual builders' subforums as to the forum as a whole and that CPF staff will moderate such subforums if the builder/maker/modder doesn't care for it properly.
