Them old school 6/9 P heads are awesome.

Is there a way to retrofit them with glass lenses? I have a few that have scratched and/or slightly melted lenses... the clear ones are used for dropins with at least two L's. I'm surprised I didn't ruin the lens on the one I replaced, you have to really jam it in with force!

What do we think the best Night Stand Duty Malkoff is?

What could it be? My MD2 M61 219b h/l set to low is currently what I have next to mine. Of course, the HDS is there too, but the MD2 is so easy to grab. I want to put a H/L switch in the old-school MD2 and M61HCRI2 and use that, such a nice warm white beam.

You know there press fit. I’m pretty sure you can’t go the glass route.

My nightstand light is a Malkoff MD3 with a M61 WLL High-low switch. But this AA might take its place.

Not sure if you got cool white or neutral, but the beam on the neutral I had in the past was a thing of beauty. You turds are making me want to throw down for another one!!

Heck yeah, 5 different conversations going already.

My best Malkoff table lamp is whatever one is closest to my Glock. But seriously I like the MDC1aa for a bomb proof, guarenteed to work every time light that takes up very little real estate on my crowded 12"x12" night stand.

I did beam shots of every M61 and M31 vs P60, Rayovac aa LED, a Pelican, a Pentagon, etc etc about a million posts ago on the junkies thread. They are buried in there somewhere, which is one reason specific threads are better imo. I cannot count the numbers of times on my fingers and toes folks asking "are there any beam shots?" Well back when part II was only like 49 pages I could say "yeah check out post xxx". By page 299 I thought "forget it".

I have M31's in 2aa Rayovac Indestructables, and a 3x123 Vital Gear fed by 2aa's,M61's in a Brinkmann MaxFire, Pelican 2320, a couple of Vital Gear numbers, of course a few SureFire 6P's and G2's and M60N's (throw version) in a Pelican 2320 and Pentagon EX2. My round 6P, Pelican 2320, a black G2 and a PowerTac Warrior have Malkoff tailcaps. Oh and the Malkoff for Maglites can work in a Brinkmann Legend light too.

Chris at flashlight lens has glass for round 6P's. Use a 19mm deep socket to press it in. 18mm to pop out the old one.

I prefer warm for in the house. I went with M61WLL to try and bring the low down with my hi/lo ring. But it’s still way to bright.

I have several lights on my nightstand for different purposes:

ceiling bounce for reading before bed: Eveready 1D battery vampire that is slowly burning through my "dead" AA's from the kids' toys
navigate the house without bothering anyone: Malkoff MDC 1AA and 47's Quark 1AA
something went bump: G3 with Malkoff M61WLL

There are others within arm's reach, but they're not technically nightstand lights since they're on a bookshelf. Most of these don't have designated purposes, though. They're just handy if I decide I want to grab one for something.

Speaking of warm, Gene was kind enough to build me a warm MDC AA a while back which I stupidly sold. The only reason I have somewhat come to terms with my idiocy is that it went to Infrnl to add to his repetoire of Malkoff lights for testing.

I have built up my AA lights over the last year and have “enough “ but I got a deal on this AA Malkoff and knowing how good his stuff is figured I’d give it a shot. Boy glad I did. Sorry to keep going on about this light but it really is that good.

I have an M60LF in a MD3 w/ a Hi/Low switch in the bedroom, having it on low it makes the "perfect" light for getting around at night.

Also have another M60LF in a MD2 w/ the Hi/Low in my office.

Goes without saying, but next to each is one (M60LF's) is one of the newest M61's (450 lms), for those "bump in the night" moments.

Eh, special K spoke of sticking a fork in it months ago. Reason being it seemed was to keep the specific subject matter of spectiic topics on track. Talk of M91's in an M91 thread type thing. RIP junkies thread.

6p with M361w and Malkoff tailcap, vintage MD2 with a Kroll, Pelican 2320 with M60 and Malkoff clicky.

Wow, I wasn't aware that any of the Pelicans could take the M6x series!

For me it’s my beloved M31LLL 219 in a single 123 body. I like the floody beam and single setting.

19 lumens is just right for creeping around the house barefooted and getting back to bed in one piece.

I’d hate to tell you how many M60LL’s and M61LL’s I have then.

My M61LL’s are in Yellow SF G2’s and some of the M60LL’s are in FiveMega 2 and 3 AA bodies.

I think it was Paul in MD was talking about them a few years back, and we decided between him and I, that we had about 1/2 of all of them made (1AA, 2AA, and 3AA’s FiveMega P60 AA bodies).

I’d hate to add up what I have “invested” in Malkoff’s. *

My M60LL swaps between my 3XAA FiveMega host and a G2Z. Now that is a great drop in. Had it for probably 10-12 years. Maybe more.

I know that I'm way late to the nightstand light, but I have a 3000K M361 with Hi/Lo ring in an MD1.5 with Triad tail. On LL it's a perfect "middle of the night" light.

Also, most of my Malkoff's are LL or LLL. I have a 61LLL in a G2Z as well, rides in my backpack everyday.
