I figured there would be a liberal movement asking what's bad about a woman with a shaved head and why smith felt that was insult

This is the one and only thread I wish the moderators would close.
I understand your concern. Unfortunately, racial bias and prejudices have become so strong and commonplace that it seems to be lacking to many.

If you evaluate the incident you can tell it has nothing to do with race. Yet if you read through the posts, you'll find the black vs white commentary to be overused.

Ha! Your assumption was incorrect. I just think it’s a silly topic for a bunch of gadget geeks to be discussing. Who cares? The era when everyone saw the same TV shows and movies is long past. Put a fork in it.

Yesterday was International Chest Day. Had no time for the Oscars on such an important day.

will is one of my faverite actors. i think the stress of the world is getting to us all.first covid then a dang war

anyone know whats wrong with liza? she seemed so conffused. i loved her in aurthur

Sounds like you really enjoyed it raggie. (y)

I used to enjoy Will Smith's acting. He killed it in "pursuit of happyness". But for the most part I do not go out to see movies anymore and again, for the most part find numerous hollywood celebrities behavor off the screen to cause me to decide not want to watch them on my tv screen either.

I would not invite them in my home for dinner, same as rude family or neighbors, yet is not watching them on my tv screen the same thing? To me it is. Will Smith is one not welcome in my home anymore.

I’m glad to see rock not pressing charges as it doesn’t seem the right move in this situation. But that doesn’t excuse smiths behaviour. It was a joke from a comedian. It wasn’t someone looking to pick a fight. And smith thought it was funny until he realized his wife wasn’t amused. Then he had to act all macho. He should have been escorted out of the venue. Which ever way you look at it, that was assault on national television. I always assumed will smith was an a**hole. He just proved it to the world

The oddest thing to me is that Chris Rock had his hands behind his back.
The spouse of someone just made into a joke walks up on stage unplanned....how could chris rock not be instinctively in a defensive posture.
Maybe I'm from a different part of the hood but my guard is never down...I'm always ready and prepared.

Hollywood giving Smith an ovation after his speech and at the after-party doesn't surprise me....Hollywood participates in and promotes violence in many ways.

I’m of the belief that nothing is off limits for a professional comic. All this talk about “punching down” is just straight whining IMO. The job of a comedian is to make people laugh - sometimes, uncomfortably. Way too many supposed restrictions on them today are being placed by this woke society.

I’m not a super fan of Kathy Griffin, but I believe she was correct when she posted something along the lines of “thanks to this Oscar night BS, who’s going to be the next Will Smith in the comedy club when they hear something they don’t like?”

Perhaps Chris Rock just never dreamed a longtime acquaintance was capable of sucker slapping him in the face on global television. Especially for only telling a joke.
