Very nice! McGizmo AA body is probably the best host I’ve ever felt. I’m eyeballing a 2xAA McGizmo Pak next
Those Ti VME heads are definitely worth it. I was surprised how smooth the threads were. Machining is impeccable as well

FYI, there is apparently some kind of... well, not recall since they aren't doing anything about it. But, issue, with those batteries. My impression is if you have older ones and haven't had a problem, then there is no problem. But newer ones apparently have high self discharge to the point they get hot just sitting outside of a device.
Also the 10 amps isn't really necessary, the 3.8-9v driver in the newest M361 (and newer MDC heads) is rated to pull only 2.2 amps at 3.8v. The older 3.4-6v driver in the M361 pulls even less (~1.5 amps)
I never had an issue. I have the 10amp ones from previous lights, so I use them since I have them
Been about 9 months since I had this cerakoted and after 9 months a beautiful baby it has become. The cerakote does wear away on the edges, but it has not chipped and solves part of the “slippery pineapple” problem some people had with the newer style md body. The more beat up it gets, the more I like it.
Md2 with an m91bn hi/lo ring on an 18650. I have used 2-16340 if I wanted a brighter low mode.
Cloud defensive pocket clip, Md body extender and I used paracord with a constrictor knot to attach a o ring to it which is good for getting it out of the pocket and a good grip while using.
M91bn is still the king to me.

Seems like it’s the button tops that are having the issue. I own both versions.
So what’s everyone else using then? What’s the safest alternative?
I currently use the F12s because of higher capacity and don’t have any issues

No specific recommendations, only a different 'brand'.
More than one model of their chargers have of late also developed quite a reputation for having smoke emanating from them.
It also appears they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory with their responses to safety issues.
A word to the wise.
So that new McGizmo Malkoff has become the Pinnacle of my AA game!
