Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

Little delivery day…..again🤦🏻‍♂️ and still the x4 to come (olight warrior that is).
So today and last day now for the holidays, a triple illumination addition to the family ….

Where to start! Maybe pics to do the talking with brief impressions

IMG_7564.jpeg

Tank! Heavy, solid awesome lantern, no other words. 21700 which can be swapped out. Left dial on and brightness , right dial colour temp warm to cool an everything in between. Simple, intuitive, awesome . The thick plastic disk had me at first
IMG_7569.jpeg

Then I realised ! Getting the battery out

IMG_7570.jpeg

So light I wondered what was in the box before opening, seriously.
IMG_7566.jpeg

Small, Compact , light, cool, neutral, warm, take your pick!
IMG_7571.jpeg
IMG_7576.jpeg

Slide up in stages for brightness levels, quite firm and positive feel. Won’t move easily by accident.
Low req pressing holding the button whilst sliding. No matter the position, level stays in moon. I rarely use that level, no issue imo holding a button and moving the slide.
Proprietary battery …..well it means more
Compact, lighter weight. If it lasts 4yrs or 10yrs, I don’t care. I have a proprietary brain and heart, some things can’t be swapped out and just put up with what you have. I know I will either be bored, lost, replaced by time battery is useless…..or dead😱. Life too short to care about a 50 buck light lasting longer than me.
IMG_7578.jpeg

Decent clip retention
Nice frosted lens nice beam, nice nice nice. I like this EDC09 a lot straight away
IMG_7579.jpeg

Magnetic for that overhead work light use
IMG_7582.jpeg

I can easily recommend the EDC09 for a fun, flexible EDC light . It’s a belter 👌🏻

Next to my other flat lights,
EDC09, x4 and 005 pro
IMG_7584.jpeg
IMG_7586.jpeg

Olight ball thingie, candle mode and hung somewhere …..not much more to say other than its diet is AAA x3 .
IMG_7568.jpeg

Cheers ven💪🏻

A rebuilt x65vn battery pack with 8 new 18650’s in, to be shipped in
Morning 👍🏻Im Hoping that was the issue, it has short run time of 20 mins on a medium output, so batteries defo tired . I got a blinking with the driver, be it battery level (hope so) or fault ). But being an 8yr old light, I’m hoping I can make new again like the RC40vn
😎🤘🏻😎🤘🏻😎

No more lights now, that’s it for 2025 now….🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m almost lost for words …..almost 🤓
Sooooo what now, what could I even add now after a crazy couple of months. I’ve just had my nitecore EDC09 fix and Fenix cl27r fix, must be acebeam then.
The E10 is hard to resist and a new release running on 16340! Perfect pocket thrower. Then as of today, I still don’t have a nichia 519a…..well I will have 4 now. The E75 has been ordered , 5000k of neutral niceness 😀
IMG_7625.jpeg

Tomorrow I’m hoping for my x65vn rebuilt battery pack of 4000mah 18650’s x8! So hopefully a happy report back and no doubt a pic or 3
That’s all folks , seasons greetings from venners, that dude in the UK with an unhealthy a fixation for all things that illuminate 😜

Those Christmas themed E75 Ti's looks beautiful!
I want!

Do you know the emitter in it? Do they have the 6500K or 5000K?

I already have one E75 (upgrade from the older EC50 Gen. 2), with the 5000K, and I promise you won't be disappointed.
Wasn't planning on buying more lights for a while, pending other expenses, but...iiihhhhh!!!!

One I’ve gone for is 5000k 519a ,
Nichia 519A-V1 5000K High CRI90
here is a link for the options

I feel your pain😂

I checked the purchase page, but it didn't specify whether the Christmas special (the only one I want, either of the two) is 6500K or 5000K, not that I could see.
The order confirmation didn't specify either?

Thank you. <3
If it's 5000K...I think I will give in and buy one. I may still buy one even if it's 6500K, but then it will likely become a shelf queen.

I was talking live about 3-4pm uk time (3hrs back), have a feeling it’s nighttime there. Will update here as soon as I get a reply. Must admit the titanium tempted me, but being a cheap skate went for the black choice . Have enough ti lights anyway. My mind set for lights are around general work or dog walking type uses , camping too. So titanium doesn’t really come into the box ticking before buying .

Oh, I figured you meant some personal email. Don't make any trouble for you out of it, I can easily send Acebeam an email myself. Been in contact with them before, and they have always given top-notch customer service.

For dog walking (or camping), the E75 is arguably on the lower end on the overkill scale, but if you find a way to carry it without fatigue, it is a 10/10 light.
I bet you have already seen beam shots of it, and it's one of the cleanest beams I have seen.

When I was considering a 21700 replacement for the 26650 EC50 Gen. 2, a lot of people here recommended the E75. In fact, so much so, I figured it was getting overhyped - but then I finally bought one, and yeah, the E75 deserves all the praise it get.
I went with the White MAO version, with a Red wand. And it lives in my backpack, so it's always with me in case I need an emergency light.

Oh it’s all good we chat regular, at one point daily . I will probably know in about 6-8hrs when they awake.
Im
A fan of acebeam as the have decent innovation, do push power levels and offer some interesting designs and LEDs. Nitecore are excellent at innovation, I just feel they lack that finishing touch or polish to the product . But I’m enjoying that EDC09 a lot, that’s a fantastic little light.
I have the EC90 which is impressive, but a cool beam all be it clear and pure white(no offs)
Some
Of the acebeams, 2 more to arrive and of course the supbeam x40vn specially made off vinh, the x65vn too

No Glo-Toob? Unboxed mine earlier today, along with my Nitecore EDC31.
Might get a Wurkkos TD11 last week of the year. Definitely start of 2026. We'll see....
The olight x4 warrior is imminent along with the x65vn fresh rebuilt pack….. I’m excited like a 5yr old Xmas morning ……well most delivery mornings not just Xmas, yes I am mentally like a 5yr old too😜

X65vn pack arrived, I almost cried in a dark corner as it didn’t work. Out come the multi meter and 16.6v so obv that’s good, checked head and that showed continuity . Lots of 🤔🤔🤔 then thought wonder if it’s the darn tabs. I carefully lifted each of the 4 up as they were all quite flat…..guess what….

🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😀😀😀😀😀

Yes working and now being tested on the side. Already passed 40 mins on a medium level (guess 2-3000lm) with no turning off or flashes. So hoping it was the battery pack and not driver at fault . Buzzing 😎

So within 2 weeks my RC40vn is as good as new with 6 new 4000 mah batteries, the x65vn as good as new with 8 new 4000mah batteries 💪🏻
Proprietary packs can be 🤮 for many and I get that, not as much with cheaper lights. But ones costing $100’s then fair enough. But it’s not the end of the world, resolder new cells in the pack and good for 5-10yrs again.
Anyway pics time

Reason for not working, these tabs were flattened and not making the negative contact

Oh a few pics added of my x40vn custom 1 of 1 made vinh light. Was in the draw so be rude not to take a pic or 5

Last light of 2025, as the acebeams won’t be this year I don’t think.
The olight warrior x4
Went earth for a change, took protection film off, tried it and nothing! Oh here we go, took apart (cap) check battery, check springs, try and again and dead🤦🏻‍♂️☹️

Nothing to loose , maybe locked out, tried the button hold, tried the lots of presses in case it has some kind of lock out…nope!
Thought will plug in , maybe it resets it as it’s been stored. Red light on, clicked switch and low beam came out….it does work!!! Then it vibrated ….(vibrates when low voltage).
Surely can’t be that low, so out comes the 21700, in the charger it goes, 2.9v😱😂. Soon bounced to 3v and now charging but that’s a bit low is that. Lowest over the years has been 3.3v but majority are 3.5-4v.
So it’s working; not over impressed with the low voltage but it will be fine. Few pics and what a nice light it is, always likes the warriors .
