A flashlight nerd’s dream: night hunting pests with a large group of young kids. Interestingly, the Foursevens MX3 Flood far outlasted the big Convoy soda can, and also proved very good at general searching due to its medium flood and high CRI. Much fun was had by all!

Yeah, I was intrigued though, as I was only using it on turbo for short bursts, and the pack is pretty new.

Prometheus MXS Standby was used to help me reset the circuit breakers in my apartment.

I've downsized the coffee thermos I use (from a 750mL-ish big one to a 400mL pot), and wasn't too sure on the amount it can hold. So this morning I did a volume test on it, comparing to how high the water level needs to be on the milk pot I use to boil water for my pour-over. Used my Convoy S2+ B35AM 6500K for that because it told me the water level a lot more clearly than the overhead lights.
Luckily I guessed the powder and sugar proportions accurately from experience, and the joe was totally up to my specs.

Tonight, when I went to visit my second brother, I ended up using my silver T3 (519A 5000K) at 10% power to light up his work replacing some roof tiles. He'd had to take them down to reinforce one of the wooden purlins that was rotten and risked collapsing. Thanks to the T3, we could see and correct one misaligned spot right at the edge of the eaves. That could've caused water damage if left unchecked, and he's had bad experiences with water damage in the past. Right on Christmas day, too
Later on we went to take his pug for a walk. I used my tan S21E (B35AM 5700K) to light up our path. I never went beyond 40% max output, and it still performed beautifully, tossing out plenty of beautiful light at adequate power.
I love cool white for task-oriented lighting like these cases. Warm white is great for the vibes and for relaxing, but when I'm serious about something, the cool CCTs come out to play.

I'm doing runtime tests on an unnamed 2×AA flashlight. At around 15-25 lumens, it ran a couple of semi-depleted (maybe 75%-80% remaining capacity) Energizer lithium AA for 18.5ish hours before doing the low power flickering. I imagine the light could have done 25ish hours easily on fresh unused cells...currently testing on two energizer alkalines, semi continuous test started at 11:00 EST.
Will stop at about the 4 hour marker to swap the cell position, as cells in series tend to drain the first or the last cell quicker than the other, but I don't remember which.

Enjoyed some chocolate chip cookies earlier today, at my desk; at home. Felt like I dropped a chip. Grabbed my Husky 4AA LED flashlight that lives above my desk. switched it on, scanned the floor underneath me, found nothing.... How odd. Oh well.
