    Rayovac 2 AA indestructable impressions

I have probably six of these lights, they make good car/truck lights, toolbox, garage, loaners, etc. no problems with any of them so far. Nice to have some fairly cheap lights that will take a fair amount of abuse to use and not worry about. I even got a 3C cell version I run with C to AA...

Power Outage, How many Lumens, How many batteries? (for lights and more)

Depends on if the light has low modes or not to have long run time, if not maybe a hybrid where it is regulated down to a certain voltage and then direct. Something like the Fenix E01, I think is this way? I think most decent quality lights are like this at least to a small extent. Most will...

Power Outage, How many Lumens, How many batteries? (for lights and more)

I might suggest that if you are going to buy a battery for such a purpose, that you opt for a sealed AGM type. Much safer if you are going to use it inside. :)

    Nitecore P12 (XM-L2; 950 Lumens)

    Boker Plus Flashlights?

I would recommend you look at the Malkoff M61L or M61LL depending on how long you want your battery to last, also you could run a 16650 if you want rechargeable. I like the M61NL , and have that in a couple lights. You can read about them on the Malkoff web page. Yes I think the stock p60 was...

    Need some Help

Re: Need some opinion If a 2xAA light will work for you I would recommend sticking with AA. I have quite a few lights with different cells etc. but AA is what i always use for gifts, emergency lights, car lights etc. Eneloops or Energizer lithiums depending on use. Also, my edc light is a 1xAA...

Decrease in USPS Quality of Service

I have always had the worst luck with USPS, have had many items lost, and if the item has tracking the updates are few and slow, I just thought they have always been bad. Lately I only ship USPS if it is substantially cheaper (and always get "tracking"), otherwise I will go with UPS or Fed-Ex...

Leaking C123A Lithium battery, need to clean tube

My Elzetta lights as well as my Malkoff lights all came with blue, made in USA Battery Station cells installed. This is a little disconcerting to hear about a USA made cr123 battery leaking. I guess I am glad I chose 1xAA, with Energizer Lithium L91 batteries, for all my emergency lights. I...

    18650 based work light

I don't know of any 1x18650 light that would crank out 1500 lumens, or at least not very long... Might look at one of these: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?378911 FourSevens MMU-X3R 1x26650 Make sure he knows about the dangers/safety practices of using Li-ion, if he...

Orbtronic: New 26650 and 16650 batteries

I just measured a KeepPower 16650 @ 68.35mm and a couple different pairs of cr123 cells right around 68mm so I am guessing, most of the time, this will not be an issue. Thanks for the heads up though! :)

Orbtronic: New 26650 and 16650 batteries

Re: Orbtronic has interesting news: New 26650 and 16650 batteries I checked one of my Keeppower 16650 cells also, same deal, fresh off charger (VP1) 4.19V and the same after a week, probably much longer but I wanted to use it in a light. :) Back on topic: Still no Orbtronic 16650 cells...

    Streamlight Sidewinder Military version?

As far as I know the only differences between the different versions is the emitter options and that the military model UI is L-M-H, I think all the other models are H-M-L. If I get one it will be the Mil version, since I prefer a light that starts in low.
