    I'm dreaming that these will be gas-pedal, but I'm afraid it seems more likely that they will be clicky. If there's no gas pedal I will stick to my edcl1-t and LFP123 pairing as a rechargable EDC arrangement.

    Question on Surefire EDCL1-T noise

    Mine makes a slight noise that I only notice if I'm in a very quiet place... never worried about it. Most newer lights that run on 1xCR123 make some noise IME. I think it has something to do with boost drivers, because my 2x and 3x lights are completely silent when in regulated runtime.

    I'm interested in runtime graphs for this model. Is it just me or is no one testing runtime anymore? It makes me worry that these newer super-high output lights have trouble staying in regulation. I kind of suspect that this would be the case with CR123a's, but 800 lumens should be no problem...
