Hey there LEPs! Question on the new Mateminco FW3 light I just ordered and got...

Thanks! I have been messing around with mine and really like this light. I think I have gotten the "clicks" down for the different modes.

Hey there LEPs! Question on the new Mateminco FW3 light I just ordered and got...

I did not know that. I was wondering about that last digit. Thanks for that info.

Hey there LEPs! Question on the new Mateminco FW3 light I just ordered and got...

I think you guys are right. The tube diameter of that small barrel is a bit smaller diameter and shorter than the longer one that fits the 21700 battery. One thing I learned recently...battery size identification numbers have meaning. On a battery...the first two digits are diameter in mm and...

Hey there LEPs! Question on the new Mateminco FW3 light I just ordered and got...

Hmmm...I looked up the 18350 for size. Looks to be too fat with a diameter of 35mm. The 21700 battery that goes into the light has a diameter of 21 mm. It's gotta be in the 21700 width. The company gave no information what-so-ever.

Hey there LEPs! Question on the new Mateminco FW3 light I just ordered and got...

Included in the box besides all the normal listed things was a shorter body barrel. It was not even listed on the inventory list that came in the box. There was even a special cutout in the box's foam to hold the smaller barrel. No other instructions. The normal battery for this light is a 21700...

Are you upgrading to Windows 10?

It's an interesting bunch of people here. And I thought I was one of a few. I upgraded to 10 from 7 when it first came out. I have three computers running 7 and thought would give one a try with Win 10. Right away, I had problems with some of the drivers. I did not like the layout and spent some...

    Leaking alkaline batteries

Just last month I had a leaky alkaline in a flashlight. I thought I had everything changed over to Eneloops but missed one. I wonder what else I forgot? For the larger sized cells like C's and D's I use the spacers that AA's fit into. As to cleaning up the mess alkalines have caused, I use a...

    Red/green flashlight or filter?

I use a couple Fenix LD41's. I have green and red filters for the lights. I hunt hogs at night after deer season. The red does not spook wildlife as much as the green. But you can see much further with the green. You can adjust your brightness to suit how far you want to see...

Deep Darkness Cave Trip w/ HIDs

I looked at the video and am hooked. Pretty darn neat. I put that one on my to do list. I do a little bit of climbing, (was some tower climbing at work and do tree climbing, (with ropes, etc), now and again and it all fits in. I have grabs, ascenders, etc. What kind of lights were they using on...

Is it possible to use glasses to see the light from 940nm infrared flashlight?

I know it is a bit off subject...Why not use a red filter over a conventional white light flashlight. I have a couple Fenix LD41's with red and green filters I use out in the woods. The red is good for observing critters and not scaring them. It does not mess up your night vision, either. The...

Anyone tried the new Fenix LD41 960 lm ?

WarRaven...I really do like the LD41. I have dropped mine several times and no problems. Not on concrete, though. I am very satisfied with this model of light. I prefer the shape over the fatter squat types. Fenix quality is superb.

Anyone tried the new Fenix LD41 960 lm ?

Update...I got the 960 LD41 and compared it to my older 680 LD41 last night. There are some minor changes on the newer model. Very minor in my view. The grip pattern on the body is a little different, the lens/mirror head outside is ever so slightly different, and the tail end is a shade...
