    It might not be convenient, but it's easy if you're determined to do it and have minimal hand skills. Some videos make it more complicated and scary than it actually is.

    I don't think it's a downside, I service my rotary tails perfectly and will not depend on sending it back for a simple rubber boot replacement. I have spare original o-rings, teflon line and lube. It's easier than it looks.

    According to Google… it should work. They usually do it on Glock pistols to remove the finish.

    I believe the smell from CR123 when inside a container, is not as toxic as when it vents with flame, like what happened to our fellow CPFer. Not that we should smell it anyways.

    It’s the o-ring in combination with the Delrin, it smells funny.
