The light arrived about a week ago, and I couldn't be happier ... superb build-construction ... everything works as advertised ... I believe that it is all that "most people" would ever need. Why aren't there double AA Headlamps?
I suspect that Petzl will be making their 3xAAA basic Tikka and Tikkina for quite a while to come. Their new 2017 models are great value for the dollar, and comfy, and do most basic lighting jobs just fine. I appreciate and use the handy red LED in my Tikka. -

Value of Interchangeability - AAA
If I took a Biolite stove on a backpacking trip, it would pretty-well cancel-out the easy-carrying benefits of a lightweight little AAA headlamp like the swell new Petzl Tikka. But I must admit that you can cook on the Biolite ... :)
