    Malkoff M91

I sometimes run a 91B in a VME head and a 16650 LiIon. In round #s, the 16650 is good for about 2000 mAh, and I get 45 minutes of very solid, slightly declining output, and then another 10 mins with sharply dropping output. With a 16340 at say 900 mAh, I suspect you'll get about 15-20...

Who did the Cerakote for you? I'd like to have a couple coated if it is not ridiculously expensive.

List Present Production Lights that work with AA batteries.

I’ve been very happy with the EagTac D3A titanium. I have 2, one with an SST-20 4000K and one with a 519A 4500K. Both are great, with a slight preference for the 519A. I would imagine the aluminum version (D25A) is a great choice as well. I’ve also been really intrigued by using 2 lithium...

    The Official Zebralight Thread

I currently have two ZL headlamps that I am very happy with - H600Fc MK IV Floody, 4000 K High CRI, and H600Fw Mk IV Floody, 4500K. I slightly prefer the Fc. My uses are night-time hiking, indoor close-up work and night-time patio/campsite hang out. I am curious about a spot+spill version...

Looking for a more premium EDC

Eagtac D3A (1xAA) or D3C (1xCR123), might fit the bill. Titanium, numerous LED choices, decent user interface once you get used to it. $75 +/-. AA CR123

    Surefire tactician

I use Orbtronics and KeepPower 16650 in my Tactician as well, no issues with fit. It sounds like there is an irregularity in your Tactician, considering the battery binds part way in the tube. Chadder's suggestion makes sense to me.

    What watch you're wearing?

I've had two Seiko movements replaced. One was replaced with a 4R36, and the other with an NH36. Both are running very well. As I understand it, they are nearly identical movements, differences only being related to branding. I would have no problem choosing an NH36 movement again should the...

    What watch you're wearing?

I have sent several Seiko divers to Northeast Watchworks for movement replacement. Their turnaround was quick, and the costs was reasonable. Movement replacement is likely more economical than repair.

Why? Batteries And Fully Charging - Bad? Really?

You are correct, the 3100 mAh number was the rating, not actual when new. The “actual when new” capacity may have may have been higher, which means the decline may have been larger than 5%z

Why? Batteries And Fully Charging - Bad? Really?

For years, I have stored Lithium ion batteries at full charge without noticeable decline. In fact, I recently ran capacity test on four EagleTac 3100 mah 18650s. They averaged 2941 mAh which represents approx 5% decline. These cells are 15 years old, have been cycled many times, and have...

Thank you, NotRegulated!! I will try some DIY, but 2 50mm tubes might work.
