How does it look? The beam?
I have not turned on the light in my house this evening only used the Tana module. Perfect beam for use in-house. Will try outside tomorrow.

The problem with the factory reflector is it does not focus an LED well at all. It's great as an incandescent. But makes a poor LED. It's very hard to get any type of real beam out of it, and will look more like a mule. Plus, heat sinking is basically nonexistent because it's a tower module.
I actually disagree, based on the two Steve Ku models I've had. One was in an E1E, the other in an E2E, I think both had XP-G emitters.

Both beams were quite similar with well defined hotspots, and broad but useful spill especially at closer ranges. Definitely not Mules.

I don't think heatsinking was a problem either as the emitters were attached to a decent hunk of metal with at least some contact to the body or head. Very similar looking to the Tana offerings. Probably no more of an issue than a P60 drop-in in a Surefire.

You're right in saying no different than a p60. Also bad for heat sinking.
The mule statement was an over exaggeration. Emitter choice also makes a big difference. But compare your drop in to a dedicated head like one of the lumens factory offerings, a Malkoff, or something like a kx2. It's a very different thing. But I'm glad you like your drop ins. If they work for you that's all that matters. My only point was that going to a new head is just a better idea. Like any of the surefire "upgrades" to led

The beam is perfect for indoor use. I have not have time to try it outside but definitely not a search lamp. Every lamp has its use, that's why you need different ones. I like that the lamp still have the old original look but modern technology. Its max 300 lumen so not a huge amount of heat. I left it on at max for five minutes and the head gets warm so the heat should disappear from the LED. But for use indoors you usually need much less then 300 lumen. What I like about the module is that you have some really low lumen modes. I think the Tana module is the only option if you want really low lumen modes and long run time. Lowest mode should be around 0,6 lumen.

Could you using it on a single 16650 or are you using two primaries?

I was planning for Lumens Factory first but did not like the lack of low mode. I'm glad that I got suggestions about Tana. I use two primaries now but have ordered two Keepower 16650 2500mAh. Lithium or two primaries works fine but one primaries will not give full power.
This is what Tana say about the beam: "wide beam with small hotspot, dictated by shallow stock reflector"

Nice. The only reason why my E2E has a lumens factory led module is the previous owner had it. I immediately replaced it with an mn03. But I do occasionally get out the led to try it
 
So far I have figured out following about the firmware. Click eight times for programming mode, click for example 15 times for mode group 15.

Do you know about any more features that I have missed?

I mostly use mode group 15, 0,2% (around 0,6 lumens) is enough for navigation in completely dark house.

With Keeppower 2500mAh you should have these theoretical run times (LED is 1amp).

100% = 2,5h
25% = 10h
4% = 62,5h
0,2% = 1250h

Tana SingLED

As I have written before the beam is perfect for use indoor. The 0,6 lumen mode is perfect for navigate and find things during night and would give around 50 days runtime with 16650 2500mAh battery.

Yesterday I tried the light outdoor for the first time. In the garden the wide beam lights up my hole garden and you still have a hot spot to point at specific objects. The high CRI really shows the colors correct and the warm tint is cosy (see pictures with flowers). Conclusion is that it works very well in a small garden or similar.

I also walked in the forest and it works very well and the wide beam also lights up the sides of the trail.

It's definitely not a search lamp and if you want to light up things far away you definitely can find better alternatives.

I didn't get the module to work in my new E1E, didn't light up at all. Very strange, I will do some more testing tomorrow.
I really like the E1E, very small and perfect pocket carry. Should be a perfect EDC if I get the module to work.

Both are Nichia emitters, 519a being the newer successor to the 219b. Both are known for their high CRI, but some prefer the older 219b because it is a bit more rosey when comparing emitters of the same tint. The 219b 4500K is legendary for its rosiness. The 519a is more efficient, so it is slightly brighter and can give slightly longer run times. The 519a also has a glass plate under the dome so de-doming is pretty easy (though I don’t think Tana will do it, so the end user will need to risk removing the dome). De-doming a 519a makes it about 1000K warmer, more rosey, and with slightly more throw.
Do you know if the 219B will have a different beam compared to 519A in a SingLED? I think they have the same size but the 219B might be lower?

yes

the 219b is smaller than the 519a

the 219b makes a smaller hotspot with more Lux intensity, the 519a hotspot is noticeably larger, but not visually brighter on target (less Lux)

the 219b has lower output, the 519a makes about 30% more total lumens, but this extra light is spread over a wider area, so it looks dimmer on target (less Lux)

some 219b (depending on the color temperature you choose), have tint slightly above the BBL (some 219b 4500K have tint below the BBL and look slightly Rosy). The Domed 519a tends to have slightly greenish tint (above the BBL).

519a can be DeDomed but this makes the CCT 25% warmer. i recommend Not to DeDome when used in a reflector, because it ruins the clean perimeter of the hotspot.

The 219b 4500K D200 is my personal favorite LED. I also prefer the 219b 4500K D220 over the 519a 4500K due to the 519a having more greenish tint.
