Yeah, I legoed a Maglite Solitaire quite awhile back with a red tailcap section. Bare aluminum body, and a blue head. Maglite needs to improve their machining. The red section is ridiculously gritty as hell. Tried a blue tailcap section, and it was perfectly smooth. But yeah, didn't look right. Back to red. (Not like it'll see a ton of battery changes.)

I might have done the very same thing with a 2AA Mini-Mag model. But I genuinely don't remember. When you have so many light that you legit lose track of what you do and don't have in your collection.
