    Howe, The answer to your question is as I expected. The 6 cell with 3 LifePO4 cells is a fair bit brighter than the Phillips HPX53 using two AW IMR 14500's. I just used a ceiling bounce test to determine this. This difference, while not huge, is noticeable. I don't have 4 IMR 14500's to do...

    So I just went out with the NiZN at about 1.7V. Not an instaflash but about 1 second of light and then a flash. Good to know. I have some LIFEPO4 cells coming with dummies. About 3.0 volts for 1 cell and dummy. Should be nice. I'll report.
