Storage solution for 18650 and 21700 batteries?

I picked up another dozen Samsung 50E 21700 batteries. They seem to be working out beautifully. I also went ahead and purchased some Pelican 1040 cases for my 21700 batteries. Looks like you can fit 16 batteries in one, with no foam piece. I also bought the foam for the 1040 case -...

Storage solution for 18650 and 21700 batteries?

The first thing that comes to mind for storing these kinds of batteries, the may fit your search criteria are Pelican Micro Cases - but a larger size, for your 21700s. Their 1010 case will hold up to 12 18650 batteries. It'll also house 4 26650 batteries, albeit a bit snugly. I used...

    XTAR Direct -Now- Lumens Direct

What ever became of Lumens Direct? I bought all 16 of my XTAR chargers through them (the first ones, when they called XTAR Direct, and located about ten or so minutes away. The Lumens Direct store was only maybe five minutes away, right here, in town, and they always took care of me. Then...

You Just Know Your A Flashaholic When......

I actually like those questions from others. Everyone who knows me, knows that I'm a died-in-the-wool lithium ion battery user, and my favorite of all batteries, for flashlights, in general, is the 18650, hands-down. I use Eneloops (or the equivalent), but not nearly in as many lights, and I...

What did you use your flashlight for today?

I hear that. I stopped buying the dreaded primary CR123s, years ago. Can't stand them. NEVER again. I refuse to ever buy a light that runs only on those. Now, it's all guilt-free lumens, on top of saving a ton of money, and the environment, in the process. A triple win.

I'd gladly have snapped up that P1D/warm combo; but I was too slow on the draw. Enjoy your new purchase, grateful1!

    Test/review of Nitecore SC4

I'd be very interested in hearing any updates you receive, regarding this issue. I have four of these units, and they all have the same issue. Still love the units, and use them daily. I just wish the mAh readings were more accurate :| Thanks! I

Converting 2/4/6D maglites to rechargeable torches

Plus 1 on the Tenergy cells! I picked up Malkoff's 270 lumen XP-G R5 for my old 2D Cell, a while back, and it's absolutely excellent. Their stuff is rock solid. I have the M361 400 lumen 3-mode XP-G2 R5 drop-in in one of my P60 hosts, and again, superb build quality and reliability. I...

4 X CR123A battery tube for inside flashlight?

Dual CR!23 battery sleeves are often included, with the accessories packaged in a single 18650 light that's also capable of using 2 CR123s. This picture was taken back when I still actually bought CR123 batteries lol. I actually still have those two sleeves (and have never needed to use...

Ikea New rechargeable batteries and charger

Re: Ikea New rechargeable batterries and charger I wouldn't be surprised if they were the equivalent of Eneloop Pros. I read that in a review thread posted by respected reviewer, HKJ, here, on CPF. This is what prompted me to buy them, in the first place, and I have no regrets...

Converting 2/4/6D maglites to rechargeable torches

I would be very interested in what you come up with, for a conversion kit for the 6D. I was kind of thinking of using a pair of 26650 batteries for it (and spacers/sleeves, or whatever), but am completely open to 18650 use, as well. I've gone with Tenergy Centura D NiMs for both of my 2D...

    New Panasonic bq cc65

Looks interesting enough; but I have a lot of other chargers at my disposal, so there's no real appeal, for me, to pick up one of these. I think the display is kind of cheesy-looking (not very clean/clear, compared to many other chargers), but that's strictly my opinion. It may have just...

Maha C9000 dying, anything better out there?

The VP2s were the very first XTAR chargers I ever purchased, and they have been extremely reliable. The charger collection kind of multiplied exponentially, from there (See post #9).

Maha C9000 dying, anything better out there?

That MC3000 looks pretty amazing, in its many abilities, not the least of which is the Bluetooth feature. I really like that a lot. Unfortunately, I'm not a big proponent of fan-cooled devices, though. I abhor fan noise, especially when it's in such close proximity to my desk and bed (which...
