Charging good 18650's on cheap charger?

If you are monitoring every 15 minutes I would say you are good to go from what you have written. My suggestion is that you pull the batteries at around 4.16V. Not for safety reasons, but simply for effective time management, the last part of the charge is always the longest so unless you want...

Maximizing the lifespan of 18650 cells

My advice to you would be to keep your batteries charged at 100%, and just simply enjoy them for whatever purpose you got them. 18650 batteries are fairly cheap nowadays (I get the Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 for $7.50 each, and that is delivered). What I would suggest...

    Good hobby charger?

My recommendation would be a Cellpro Multi4 Charger (Part Number: LC04S04A-MC) by Revolectrix. Unbelievably versatile.

How to charge 18650 batteries in a RC hobby charger?

Well 1st of all welcome to CPF. :) I use Hobby chargers quite often for charging 18650 batteries. Although I am unfamiliar with your particular charger (I use a revolectrix) I will give you some basic ideas to point you in the right direction as well as answer some of your questions...

    anyone use LiFePO4 batteries?

In my opinion the best out there in this particular power class is the "Cellpro Multi4 Charger" (Part Number: LC04S04A-MC ). The thing is truly amazing. For Battery types: Lithium Polymer/Lithium Ion/Lithium Manganese (1s to 4s balanced and 2s unbalanced), A123 (LiFePO4) (1s to 4s balanced...

    Headlamp for backpacking

You're welcome. It is a great headlamp but make sure you get the reflector otherwise it gets a little difficult navigating trails.

    anyone use LiFePO4 batteries?

I use a hobby charger. I think it is one of the best investments you can make if you are going to be playing around with different battery chemistries. But remember you get what you pay for.

    18650 - 4.0v, OK to top off?

Lithium-ion doesn't have a memory effect so it is okay to partially cycle.

    Questions About The Spark ST6-460NW

My recommendation would be to get a good 18650 headlamp and then also get a 18650 flashlight. This way you have redundancy in terms of a power source as well as more capabilities, especially if you get a floody headlamp.

Upgrading 2400mah to 3400mah Brite strike Tactical

A rough estimate would be about 2 hours and 45 minutes on high and about 11 hours and 15 minutes on low.

    18650 Battery and Charger Recommendation

Re: Can someone recommend batteries/charger for use with a Fenix PD35? I would use the 1A setting. Lithium ions can safely be charged at a rate of 1C (there are a lot of people on these forums that would disagree with this statement however I routinely do this on a hobby charger without any...

    18650 Battery and Charger Recommendation

Re: Can someone recommend batteries/charger for use with a Fenix PD35? EagleTac makes some very good protected batteries but what sets them apart from a lot of the other ones is they are on the short end of the spectrum. I also love Orbtronic's. They make very good quality batteries and you can...

    18650 Battery and Charger Recommendation

Re: Can someone recommend batteries/charger for use with a Fenix PD35? Welcome to CPF Ozy..... The charger you should take a look at is the xtar vp1. It will serve a lot of your needs moving forward. As far as batteries go it will depend on where you live (some brands are harder to get in...

    Test/Review of Sibeile IMR18350 800mAh (Black)

Another great review, thank you. If I can make a request for your reviews. Could you possibly list good sources of where to buy the item you review at a good price. Or at least where you got it.
