    I'm thinking about getting my first Hound Dog. I prefer neutral tints as much as the next person. For a light that will be used as a long distance spotter, is the tint very noticeable or a concern? On the other hand, is the difference between 1000 and 900 lumens noticeable?

    The EagleTac D25A2 looks like it could work, although it has more modes than I'd like. Can you explain how the modes work? It didn't seem immediately intuitive when looking at their site. How would you compare the quality and durability of the D25A2 compared to something like the Quark?

    Thanks, Chris. Testing at one year will be worth the wait. I just bought my second and third 4 pack at Target. From the sounds of it, these are good cells for a very reasonable price. I hope to give mine a solid workout soon.

    Are you using the single AA MDC body in this configuration? I thought the M31 needed two AAs and can't run on a Li-ion.
